FAQs!
Recreational cannabis is new to the town of Fryeburg, so we wanted to answer some of the frequently asked questions to clear up some confusion!
Are you recreational?
Yes. We sell adult-use cannabis to anyone over the age of 21.
Do I need to have a Maine ID?
No. You only need to be over the age of 21 with any valid government photo ID to purchase cannabis from the shop. However, per state compliance, all cannabis products purchased in Maine must be consumed in Maine.
What is a form of valid ID?
We accept any non-expired drivers licenses, passports, state ID cards, military ID (active duty or veteran military identifications), or Indigenous tribal cards. No other form of identification will be considered valid.
If I have been in before, do I still need to bring my ID?
Yes! Even if you know (and love) your budtender, we need to see a valid form of ID before every single transaction. We appreciate your understanding!
Can I buy medical products here?
No. We are no longer a dispensary that offers any products under medical regulation. We do, however, provide a 10% discount to anyone with an active medical card.
Can I use my credit or debit card?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot accept any credit or debit cards at the moment. We are a cash only business. We do have an ATM ($2.50 fee) available in the shop for those who need it.
CLONES!
It’s gardening season, people! We have adult-use clones available at the shop, check out our online store for current availability here. Please do not call to ask about strain availability, they will be constantly changing as the weeks pass along. If you’re looking for some guidance on how to grow your own clones, keep reading! We have some answers to the most commonly asked questions when it comes to caring for cannabis.
About White Mountain’s Clones ––
We carry clones that are 100% female, photoperiod (non-auto) plants, selected for quality, consistency and performance
What to expect in the first 24-48 hours ––
Your clone is adjusting to a new environment—keep things gentle: Avoid unnecessary handling or stress, maintain high humidity (60–70%), and use low to moderate light (avoid intense direct light).
It’s time to transplant your clone (roots are >3in) ––
First thing’s first, you should be using a well-draining soil or grow medium for your clone. Once you gently remove the plant from its original container, you will plant it in the new pot at the same depth as before (don’t bury the stem). Once it has been placed, you want to water the clone lightly (DO NOT SOAK THE POT)! If you are transplanting outside, place the clone in indirect or filtered sunlight for three days before you make the transition into direct sunlight.
Light Requirements ––
Clones like to have at least 18-24 hours of light, daily (during the vegetative stage). Start off with a lower intensity level of light, then increase that intensity gradually. The ideal lighting for beginners is an LED or fluorescent grow light setup.
Watering Basics ––
You want to keep the soil moist, but not saturated. This can be maintained by allowing a slight drying period in between watering sessions. Overwatering is the #1 mistake that leads to a wilted clone. Use caution!
Temperature & Humidity ––
Cannabis likes it warm. You should keep the temperature of its environment in the 70-78°F range. The humidity in the earlier stage of the plant life should range from 60-70%, and be decreased to 50-60% once the plant is more established in its life. You should avoid any sudden environmental changes so the plant does not get shocked and die.
Nutrients! ––
You should feed your clone right away! It’s hungry! We suggest using a mild vegetative nutrient (it’s higher in nitrogen). When it comes to feeding, you do want to start on the lighter side, overfeeding is another common mistake that can often harm young plants.
Airflow (it matters!) ––
Provide your clone with a gentle airflow, it helps to strengthen the stems. When doing that, you want to avoid a direct fan blast. Air can also help prevent mold and mildew from creeping onto your plants, yuck!
Harvest Time ––
You can expect a harvest around the end of October, weather depending. Cannabis can handle a mild frost, but it will die in a solid freeze.
SIGNS OF A HEALTHY CLONE ––
You can rest easy knowing your clone is healthy when it is showing these signs: you have upright & stable growth, bright green leaves, there is new growth within 5-10 days, and your root system is expanding at a steady rate.
Some common mistakes that you want to avoid while caring for clones: overwatering, too much light too soon, a rough transplant, overfeeding nutrients, low humidity in the early stages of growth.
Consistency is key, so avoid sudden changes, it can shock the plant! Start gently! Light, water, and nutrients can all be done in moderation. Watch the leaves, they will tell you what the plant needs. Wilting, rotting, molding, or falling off all show signs of a plant that needs an environment/care adjustment.
